Blow me a Kiss!

That’s right!  Blow me a kiss!
That got your attention, didn’t it?  Well, this morning out on my run, I had this huge epiphany.  And I know, once you hear it, you will all go – DUH, Chantel!  But here goes….
I didn’t feel like running this morning, but here I am anyway, out there doing my thing.  And someone in a pickup nearly hits me.  Now,  I’m really irritated, and I continue on my run.
Next, a woman waves me across because she wants to go and doesn’t want to hit me.  She smiles.  In spite of myself, I smile back.
I smile at the next person whose face I can see, and they smile at me.  I wave at a boy (old man really) at one of my favorite store fronts I pass by almost daily.  He waves back at me.  I pass Karen (we all know Karen at Harvest CafĂ©) and say “Good morning” to her as she unloads her car for the work ahead.  She says “Good morning”.
Tit for tat.
Measure for measure.
An Eye for an eye.
Like for like.
Quid pro quo.
This is awesome!
Comical, really, this exact imitation.  Ok, I am going to do something totally different to test my theory.  No waving or smiling.  I need to know if this is real.  Next opportunity is a blue-white haired lady driving and she looks at me, I look at her, she waves for me to cross the street and I blow a kiss to her.  What’s she going to do?  Guess…………
She blows a kiss to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I grin from ear to ear, left overflowing with happiness for at least two miles.   Life is a mirror.  It’s my reflection back at me every time.  OK.OK.OK.  Getting really excited now.  You hear that a lot, that what we put in to our lives, reflects back.  But at this level of detail?  Really?  How can I be totally sure?
I snarl, looking as serious as I can, deep in feigned concentration, at my next victim; and she doesn’t give me the time of day.  It’s true.  It worked.  We reflect the world and it reflects back at us.  There is nothing new under the sun.  But still, I think this revelation is worthy of a drum roll.
All my math background has paid off.  (I can’t hardly take credit, but hey!), I declare this study rigorous, scientific and statistically significant.
Big decisions here.  Snarling, smiling, waving or blowing kisses?
DUHHHH, Chantel.  Definitely blowing kisses!
Come follow me!
