About me

A bit about me:

My real bio:
My name is Chantel Wilson Chase.  My first car was a 1971 Chevy Nova.

I have run the gamut of jobs from cashier at Caldors (remember them?) to researcher at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.  I've been a statistician for the Census Bureau and dreamed of being a baker who eats cookies all day.

As I have gone through this journey, every step has shown me an insight, a wisdom, and I absorb them all. Being a lifelong runner, many of these insights have come on street corners, over cracks on sidewalks, across snow-covered hills, and sandy beaches.  Every footfall tells me something.

My real passion is being an inspirational story teller and writer.  I will share my wisdom with you. Stories are meant to be passed on from generation to generation, from adult to child, across borders and over phone lines.  From me to you.  This is my passion.  Teaching and speaking life into people.

My professional bio:
15+years in statistical corporate and hospital settings as an analyst and statistician.  Odd jobs  here and there both prior to and post those 15+ years.  Currently write for Boston area newspapers.  My educational background looks like this:

Certification, SUNY Purchase College, Holistic Nutrition
Certification, American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP)
Masters Degree in Applied Sociology, UMASS Boston
Bachelors Degree in Mathematics and Actuarial Science, UCONN, Storrs, CT
Associates Degree, Liberal Arts, Summa Cum Laude
